Eleven Months

where has the time gone??

Connor is eleven months old!

He is a very loving and very busy boy.  He loves playing and being outside.  He is still a good sleeper and a good eater.  We have fun scaring each other!  He is getting close to standing alone and walking.  We are so excited for his first Christmas in a few days!

The new favorite thing to do around here is hide things!  Today he started just hiding but not seeking...

We're waiting with anticipation for the day he tells us he hears something funny in his ear...

I'm really encouraging the seeking! :)

Hi everyone, welcome to the review of Thanksgiving!

Hold UP!  Did you get to eat some turkey?  Some pumpkin pie?  Because I did! :)

Wait... I think I see more coming....

The Hoffman Trio ventured to three different places on Thanksgiving Day.  We ate turkey, played football, visited, napped, ate more turkey, played, and had an overall wonderful time.

Michelle and I ventured out at midnight to find some super great bargains. 
We went to three stores and saved a boatload of money... but we spent some too ;)

Something I always end of taking pictures of is Connor with his grandpas.  This first one... well, Connor couldn't stop dancing to all the music Grandpa B was playing for him!

Something else interesting happened while we were away... a TOOTH!  :)  These pictures are from the morning the tooth was discovered, by Grandma B, but Connor boy wouldn't show his tooth to me. :(

I might need some help ....  these photo shoots are getting harder and harder...

and I keep laughing harder and harder!

Connor likes to pull himself up on anything that is stable enough (and sometimes, things that are not...)  He claps his hands, crawls super fast, and likes to 'dance'.  He loves music, singing, and things with wheels.  He likes to give hugs and high fives.  He either takes great naps, or horrible naps, no in-between.  He is always ready for more food, and I think puffs are still a favorite, with pears coming in at a close second.

catch-up

a serious moment during play-time... Friday before we headed west to Pittsburgh

the craft fair.  Left Cranberry at 8:20, picked up Michelle, drove to the high school.  unloaded the car, set up and.... the first buyer didn't show up until 1:30.  yikes.  It was a great day of sister-time!  The profits were minimal, but the laughs were plentiful.  Total count of "ladies wearing boots incorrectly": 3; total count of "ladies decked out head to toe in Steelers gear": lost track!!! :)

Saturday evening - dinner to celebrate Pap's birthday - all three grand-babies in  the kitchen!

Sunday morning before church we played trains with Grandpa H.  The video below is short, but it shows just how excited Connor got EVERY time the train came around the track toward him.   I don't know who had more fun - Connor or Grandpa and Grandma H!?! :)

Veteran's Day

On Veterans Day we honor all,

Who answered to a service call.

Soldiers young, and soldiers old,

Fought for freedom, brave and bold.

Some have lived, while others died,

And all of them deserve our pride.

We’re proud of all the soldiers who,

Kept thinking of red, white and blue.

They fought for us and all our rights,

They fought through many days and nights.

And though we may not know each name,

We thank ALL veterans just the same.

and a special THANK YOU to Dad Hoffman!  We Love You!

Our friends from college, Justin and Randi Lambright

welcomed a beautiful little girl into the world a week ago today.

Abijah Jane is her name - Abi Jane for short :)  She's a cutie pie from the pictures we've seen already!

We are so happy for them!

Sad... and Happy!

Connor has started eating "real" food - he's had pears, peaches, cheese, yogurt, cheerios, and... he tried some hard boiled egg.  (personally, I can't blame him, I'm not a huge fan of it either!)

Connor is at a point where he enjoys it when I "scare" him.  Normally this little routine happens on the changing table... but on this particular day, he was feeling quite silly in his high chair, so I grabbed the camera and caught some of his laughing on 'tape'.  He hasn't started laughing at much though... but I have a feeling that will happen soon! :)
