We celebrated this year with two picnics - one on Sunday night at Codorus Park ~ and we took a dip in the lake while we were there!  Then we went to a church picnic on Monday night.

Eli :)

On Tuesday we went to play at Eli's (and Jason and Sarah's) house.

Sarah and I joke about how we never see each other, but we live very close - a five minute drive!

You may remember Eli from ~this post~

We had a great time - hot dogs and watermelon for lunch, playing with cars, trucks, this thing you hit with a hammer (like wack-a-mole) all kinds of fun BOY stuff. :)  Plus, I got a bag of hand-me-down clothes for Connor - yay! ;)

Thanks Sarah for a great time ~ we should do it more often!

The first one is probably the best one - because they wouldn't sit still long enough! :)

This is my second favorite - Eli was excited!  Connor was... distracted... haha.

Trains

We went to the Strasburg Railroad on Saturday while Grandma and Grandpa Hoffman were out visiting.

Connor had a pretty good time!

Since spending time at the railroad station, Connor has been pulling out all the stops when playing with his trains at home.

His new favorite thing to do is line up all the cars on the track - his imagination is at work!

Thanks for a fun visit Grandma and Grandpa!  We had a fun time!

His other favorite toy at the moment is a little fisherman boat and trying to catch the fish on the hook...

Good thing Pap is coming to visit soon ;)

Bubbles!!!

He actually did blow a bubble!  I was so excited!

Miss Bridget and Emelia came to play with their cool bubble machine the other day too!

I'm going to eat dirt...

dirt?  on my nose?  what?

I asked him where he put the dirt...

what do you mean I can't eat the dirt?

after he ate the dirt - we let him play in the dirt pile in our driveway.  This is leftover dirt that didn't make it in the garden.  For now, it's like a sandbox ... but it will eventually be put to use when school is done for the summer.

He took his playing very seriously, but he was also loving every minute!

Fort

Rainy day fun at the Hoffman House = building a fort.

Bill said the first 10 minutes they just sat inside and looked... and Connor kept smiling and giving Bill hugs.
