Pony Ride

We were at the Patterson's this weekend and thought it might be fun for Connor to have a pony ride.

Pepper was being a good sport...but Connor didn't like it very much. :(

He seemed fine when he was just sitting, but when Scott started walking Pepper in the yard, 

Connor was done!

We'll try again the next time we visit - someday it will be fun to ride! :)

a run down of my outfits for our Bible School at church is below.

The scariest part of this whole thing is that all of this was in my closet/jewlery box. 

Well, the yellow dress shirt and the red dress shirt really belong to Bill.

I didn't purchase anything to add to my outfits.

Grandma and Pap came to visit!

We had visitors!

Thursday was a Father's Day baseball game (Pirates v. O's) for Bill and Dad B.

Mom B, Connor and I went to the park. 

No one took the camera!

Friday morning after breakfast we went to the lake for some fishing.

Connor enjoyed spinning the handle on Pap's fishing rod.

He didn't last long, we abandoned the lake quickly... but it was still fun!

We spent Friday afternoon by the "pool" ~ our baby pool in the backyard.

Connor was having a blast ~ can't you tell? ;)

Saturday we went to Hanover Shoe Farms to check out the horses.

Some of the little babies were only a week or two old!  :)

We enjoyed some delicious chicken and 'fixin's' on Saturday night with Michelle to celebrate Father's Day.

We kicked off our church's Science/Music/Art camp on Monday night...

so I probably won't be able to post again until Friday...

it's a crazy week!

we are doing the "wordless book" for our theme this year.

I figured it would be crazy to see someone dressed in head to toe in the color of the day.

...and who better to take on this responsibility then me.  I mean, I'm a MOM now, so I have to start embarrassing Connor so he understands my duty in life. 

This was Monday - gold... duh.

I'll post again on Friday of all my other get-ups...

Funny Face Friday

Bookshelf

First project of the summer = done!

Bill installed shelves in Connor's room for his books.

I read this idea online about using gutter 

(yes, like on the edge of your roof gutter) 

to make shelves for books.

Bill agreed that we could do this in Connor's room, 

but I could tell he thought it was a weird idea.

Until the finished product ~ then he thought it looked good! :)

Here are some pictures showing off the new shelves, and new bean bag chair.

One step closer to a big boy room! :)

We have lots of children's books, but this way we can sort of rotate them and keep some favorites handy too.  Connor can reach the bottom shelf, and with all the book covers facing out, they are 'user friendly'.

Garden Update

Okay (Kevin) ~

here's what has happened in a month worth of growing time:

I didn't post the picture taken at exactly the same angle because the broccoli has pretty much taken over it's territory and the territory near it, so in the other picture you can't really see the pole beans at all and I wanted to make sure they got some camera time too ;)

So thankful for a husband who knows how to garden and enjoys it too!
We've eaten some lettuce, and hopefully we'll start 'harvesting' other vegetables soon! :)

Be Like Dad

Connor wants to be like his dad in the worst way ~ and it's only going to continue!

He wants to read the newspaper, help in the garden, and...

Wagon and Hide & Seek

We had the Krietzer's over for a cookout over the weekend.

They brought their wagon along for us to play with!

While Connor enjoyed ridding... he liked pushing it even more!

We also enjoyed some 'hide & seek' time...

one of my favorite parts of this video is that every time he runs after Bill, Connor is shrieking - until he can't see him anymore, and then his hands go up asking "where?"

Memorial Day has only just passed.. making it the "unofficial" start to summer...

and Connor's knees are already scraped up!

No tears yet about falling on the concrete though - we'll see how long that lasts ;)

The Bee's Knees

Pastor Todd and his wife Nancy live on a farm that has been home to many animals.

Before becoming a Pastor, Todd was a chicken farmer.

Now... he has bees.

Three hives, and thousands of bees.

We were at Pastor Todd and Nancy's house for a Memorial Day picnic with other families from church.

Connor found this tractor on the porch, and was having a lot of fun! :)

can you tell it was about ninety degrees outside?
if he wasn't pushing this tractor, he was gulping down water!
