Catching up

We went to Pgh for the fourth of July. Here are some highlights from the weekend.

"Yinz gatta Regatta" - so we did! Saw the speedboat races, and then enjoyed a Italian dinner with Mom and Dad B at Buca. :)

On the fourth we went to my Grandma B's house and then went sailing with Uncle Warren and Aunt Sue - Bill braved the waters at Moraine - and thoroughly enjoyed the swim!

On the fifth, we stopped by to give Ethan and Lindsey their birthday presents and I managed to get a few 'updated' pictures of the nieces and nephews. :)

This weekend Mom and Dad Hoffman came to visit us.

Bill and Dad H worked on some projects - hanging two light fixtures - one in the dinning room, and one in our bedroom.

We also enjoyed good food, seeing the sites in Hanover, and hanging out. :)

These two make a great team!

Next weekend it's off to the beach with the Barton's, then to the beach to see Mark - we just love summer vacation!!! :)

Welcome to Summer Vacation 2010!

Ahhhh.... summer vacation. It's like a mini-retirement every year. I know, some of you are rolling your eyes - but my response is always the same ~ you could have been a teacher!!

Here's a glimpse into the first "official" day of our summer:

Delicious "Hawaiian" burgers, pinapples, broccoli, and rice for dinner
(the bacon was Bill's idea by the way... :-D)

Setting up our new composting bin - it has a handle on the side to turn the stuff!

More lawn work - turning the "pile" into a flower bed... just without the flowers yet!

Busy Weekend

Hello Everyone - no pictures to share yet, but just wanted to keep you posted on this past weekend's happenings.

Friday night was a Pampered Chef party for me and a movie night with Scott for Bill. Then, because Scott and Carissa were on their way to Harrisburg on Saturday morning, we had them stay over to save them some time... :)

Then... Bill played football in the afternoon on Saturday, and we enjoyed a cookout at the Cross' after the game. We then enjoyed a relaxing movie night.

Sunday we went to church and then we went up to Gettysburg to help our dear friends Heather and Paul, and their daughter Ilana, move back into their house (temporarily) until they make the big move out to Chicago where Paul will be heading up an outdoor program at Loyola College. We worked on helping them unpack and then headed back to Hanover to have dinner with Paul's parents. It's always so good to see them and visit!

Told you it was a busy weekend!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day this year included lots of hanging out in the backyard, frisbee, running through the "sprinkler", enjoying the deck, and going to the Westminster parade.

We had a great time with our company! "Thanks for coming out!"
