held hostage

The camera is being held hostage by Bill.

He and Connor are working on  Mother's Day present, which may or may not include photos...

I'm not allowed to touch it until the pictures he has on there are taken care of.

See you for a fourth of July post. ;)  haha... just kidding...

Maybe next week?

swimming...

this is the most recent picture I have of Connor boy - from swimming on Wednesday... he loves to go to community swim night at the local middle school and isn't afraid to go under, hold onto the side of the pool... or lose his kind-of-too-big swim trunks (I'm talking, down to his ankles) when dad was spinning him around in the water - ha!
bare bum or not, he loves the pool! :)

Easter Weekend

We spent Friday at the Children's Museum with the Hoffman side of the family - here are some pictures from our time there:

Connor getting help from Aunt Christine, while Uncle John, Lindsey, and Selah work hard too!

Painting with Avery and Kylie

Clay table with Avery

"Ant Hill" - he loved it!!

in the trolley with Mom in the "Garage Room"

in the wind tunnel... he wasn't wild about the goggles, but Bill was having a blast!

Connor and Macey on the see-saw - with Aunt Chris taking pictures. :)
Friday evening we went to Good Friday service at Gospel Fellowship and then headed back to Grandma and Pop-pop's to sleep.

Saturday morning we went to hunt for Eggs at Pap and Mawna's house...
finding eggs - five in all!

it was cold enough for a fire...burrrr.....

Chloe on the hunt!

"Look Mawna!  I found all the eggs!"

A warm welcome for Mom-mom, Uncle Paul and Aunt Sandy

trying to get a cousin picture in the dress clothes...

I know this one is blurry ... but it cracks me up!
after a while... some folks headed back outside... April just wanted to keep hunting for eggs!
Easter morning had finally arrived - along with a few things from the Easter Bunny!
finding eggs in the couch

found his basket!  (with a little coaxing)

Easter Bunny brought socks, and a puzzle - and Connor loved it!

Easter lunch at Mom-mom B's

"kids table" they are so old...

the boy cousins - stick together!

Connor was having the time of his life at the big kid table - he was LOVING it!
Before heading home on Monday, we stopped to play at the Sanders' house.
Connor loves the toys there!  (And the people!)
bean table with fancy-haired April

basketball hoop with Chloe

Easter baskets from Mawna and Pap, and Aunt Michelle.
Goggles in the basket!  How fun!
As you can tell, we had a busy busy weekend - but it was fun!

Snow Day!

We had a snow day here - hard to believe since it's after the first day of Spring, and it's almost Easter,
but... it was perfect snowman making snow.

Connor and Bill had a great time playing outside!

teaching

Connor's imaginative play has expanded past trains these days...

he's started playing "story-time" and "music class" with his stuffed animals.

Everyone sits on washcloth 'carpet squares' and he either reads stories to them,
or wants to be the teacher for music class and sings them songs.

:)

It's cute, fun, and not messy!

Surgery = Success!

on the way to the hospital this morning
after he had the gown and socks on
Reading with Dad,
very serious about the book from the library - Going to the Hospital
Connor and Mom,
ready to go to the operating room!

We only had about a 20 minute wait between when I came back to the room and when Connor returned - he did really well and came out of the anesthesia quickly.

opening presents - the bunny is from friends at church,
and a new puzzle from Mom and Dad.

He cried when we had to take the gown off and put his normal clothes on.
We compromised by letting him wear his socks home... :)

Snow Day!

our GQ model...

Tomorrow's a big day for our family, especially Connor - we'll be taking pictures to record this adventure and I'll post them as soon as I can so you can get the update!

We're expected to be at the hospital for the procedure pretty early, so hopefully we'll be home by lunchtime and be able to lay low and recoup the rest of the day.

Today is a snow day from school - so we're busy with puzzles, laundry, dance parties, and playing pizza party (Thanks Gallos!!).

Weekend!

Last week, we took a trip to the Ear Nose and Throat doctor to get a second opinion on Connor's tounge.

We will be going to have it clipped in the early part of March.

He'll be able to lick an ice cream cone... and be able to stick his tounge out further then his bottom lip!  Horray!

Then, on Thursday the fever came, along with a runny nose and cough.  I left for a women's retreat and came home to a loving husband who had managed to hold down the fort, but with a two-year-old with an ear infection. :(  Poor guy!

SO, this week has been a bit of a crazy one with Connor needing some extra TLC and our evening schedule being in full swing (music classes have started again).

Connor has recovered and only has a little bit of a runny nose now and it's the weekend!  Yay!

We're going to try some potty training this weekend and see how it goes...
Due to wanting to keep that a private thing - this is the only picture we will show of the potty training events.
Connor got some big boy underwear for his birthday and I let him try a pair on. :)

Where's Connor?

The camo from Uncle Paul and Aunt Sandy is finally the right size (Connor is just a squirt) and he loves wearing it.  He likes to wear both the pants and the jacket, with the hood up.  We also have a camo ball cap that he puts on with this and then we pretend we can't see him - he thinks it's hysterical.  Bill is much better at keeping a straight face while asking "Where did Connor go?" while standing right in front of him... I tend to just start laughing when Connor starts laughing.

can't you just hear him laughing?

We enjoyed a weekend in Pittsburgh celebrating Erin's baby-on-the-way and Mom H's birthday.  Monday was the start of the FINAL GRAD CLASS for both of us, and next week will start the beginning of a new semester for music class... so we're gearing up for the second half of the school year and adding more things back into our schedule after having a nice break in January.  Hopfully I'll keep up with a weekly blog post... :)
