Emu visit

So... have you ever met a baby emu?

We had a chance to visit a day old emu at a friend's house.  In fact, there were two babies inside who had hatched the day before, and then there was a three day old baby who was outside running and eating.

She is such a cheeser the whole time I'm aiming the camera at her.  I barely have any "candid" pictures of her for the last two months because all she wants to do is look and smile for me!  It's adorable and hilarious.

Easter

Easter Weekend

started with a trip to the Science Center with the Hoffman side of the family

The next day was an egg hunt and lunch with Barton's and Ritter's and then a trip to the mall for a train ride!

Brooke's first Easter! 

It was a great weekend and fun to see everyone!

just another day... just another picture...

Nothing super special about these days here... just playing, teaching, and getting the jobs done.  

But every once in a while I remember to get a picture or two. :)

Connor's love of stuffed animals has not diminished ... he loves to play with them. 
This particular day he was building nests for them to sleep in.

Ten Months

Brooke is two months shy of one year old and it doesn't seem possible!  She is showing signs of personality that continues to make us smile and keep us on our toes.  She loves to crawl, pull up on furniture, and has started letting go and standing for about a minute before falling down.  She likes to ride in the stroller and she loves being in the bathtub.  She has started feeding herself the bottle and is eating "big people" food now.  She has recently started giving kisses and snuggle hugs which is so cute!  We love you Brooke!

We were baking cookies, and Brooke was keeping herself entertained too - notice the bottle of ranch by her feet... which are sock less.  haha... oh... joy!
