Seven Months old!

since we don't have any official Doctor's office stats to share,

I thought I'd share the photos I took of Brooke ~ even the "bloopers" ~

hey - a good one!

another good one!  (minus the teether toy, but she almost always has something in her mouth these days, so it's a good way to remember)

At seven months, Brooke is taking two naps a day plus a little snooze in the early evening.  She is eating baby food and semi-solids; bananas being a favorite.  She can *CRAWL* which is making my life a little crazier, haha.  She is very curious, likes to 'dance' while Bill is whistling, and blows bubbles.  She shrieks with delight about anything Connor does, and we're still waiting for some good laughs.

Santa?

Santa's Cabin in our town

The reaction upon entering the cabin.
Plus crying, and then hiding behind Dad.

So Brooke was the "brave one" and sat on Santa's lap.

She loved him!

see the love?  :)

Connor did talk about Rudolph with Santa...

but then Santa had Rudolph's bells and that was also so exciting it was scary.
Connor told Santa that "You can bring me whatever you want and I will love it."
"You can surprise me.  I will like it, I just know I will like it."

The best part of the whole thing for Connor was getting a bag of chips and a candy cane.
We'll see what Santa brings next week!

Crawling!?!?!

Yes... Aunt Alison helped this along.

She still is trying every day at home to be a crawler.  She gets about this far and then gets back on her belly.  Her arms need a little bit more strength before she gets any farther - thank goodness!

6 Months Big!

Always moving, always smiling, always keeping us on our toes!
Brooke is 6 months old and I can't figure out where the time went ... "the days are slow, the years are fast..."

She can almost sit up by herself, and she seriously is thinking about crawling - but thankfully hasn't figured it out quite yet.
We are given many smiles and fun faces but... not really good laughs yet.  Sometimes a giggle. ;)

Connor continues to be a good helper and loves to watch out for "Brookie".

Happy Halloween!

our third annual trip to Trick or Treat in the park

This picture pretty much sums up the entire weekend.

hahahahahaha
oh my goodness

Okay - here are a few more:

(Peter?  What happened buddy?  I have no pictures of you!)

We had a great time with everyone!

Come again next year!!

five months

Brooke turned five months old on the 22nd.

:)

We love her full-faced smile and her happy attitude.
She is still eating every three hours and sleeps from 7:30 -7 each night.
She loves crinkly toys and watching her brother every minute she can.  She has been working really hard at sitting independently... but can't quite do it yet on her own.  She screams with delight, and with irritation, and with every other emotion she has.  Screams all the time.  No laughs yet... but we'll wait patiently. :)

cereal!

Brooke is a big fan!
She cried because we were not giving it to her fast enough the first night!  haha :)

Now she eats it every day at breakfast and "dinner" at 4:30.

Such a big girl!

funny faces anyone?

So.... remember when you were a kid and you were supposed to smile for the camera?

And all you wanted to do is make a funny face instead?

That's what we've been getting a lot of around here lately...

for example:

Or the other day when Connor used his legos to make a big tower,

I said "Stand next to it and I'll take your picture."

This is what I got:

Then I said "Okay, now a nice one."

and we get a blank stare at the camera...

hahahahaha.
oh well.
